We build confidence, we build equity, we build businesses

At Accessity

We believe in building social equity through our lending philosophy and wraparound approach in working with our clients. We believe in meeting people where they are and in putting value on the adversities that they have overcome to become business owners. By working with Accessity, we want our clients to achieve success in their business through the capital and support they receive with us.
As a Community Development Financial Institution and mission-based lender, Accessity’s mission is to open doors of financial opportunity to those historically with less access to capital and business support: entrepreneurs of color, women, immigrant, and low-to-moderate income entrepreneurs, so they can build a prosperous business and livelihood for themselves and their families, while also strengthening our communities.

Small Businesses

Accessity believes that thriving small businesses are the foundation for a strong local economy. Our program ensures that entrepreneurs have access to the tools they need to start or grow their businesses and remain sustainable in the current economy.
Some of our clients start a business to supplement their employment income and thereby support their family, some have a dream of creating jobs for others, others have a novel idea or vision, or are talented artisans or skilled technicians. Wherever they are in their journey, we have a nearly 30-year history of supporting business startups and expansions, and our clients see a higher success rate than the national average. 94% of Accessity-funded businesses remained open two-to-three years after their loan.

Our client base reflects Southern California’s rich diversity.

Our client base reflects Southern California’s rich diversity. 89% of our client base is classified as low- to moderate-income and/or diverse-owned. Both of these groups have historically faced barriers in obtaining business financing from traditional sources such as banks and credit unions. Accessity is proud to provide a flexible lending option for these hard-working entrepreneurs.
By providing loans ranging in size from $300 to $100,000, we enable our borrowers to increase their inventory, buy equipment or raw materials, and pursue new business opportunities. We also help entrepreneurs build favorable credit histories and improve their business skills through training events.
